Biografía
Dan Mora Chaves, better known simply as Dan Mora, was born in 1987. He has been drawing all his life, but received academic training at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Costa Rica, where he graduated. Although he has been part of many design, illustration and animation groups in Costa Rica, he made his breakthrough in 2014 with the monthly series Hexed for the US publisher BOOM! Studios. He is married and lives in Alajuela. In 2016, he received the Russ Manning Award for Most Promising New Author for his work on Klaus, alongside writer Grant Morrison. His passion for the arts came very early in Dan's life. He remembers that at the age of three he was already drawing pictures of his favorite cartoon characters that he watched on television, such as Ninja Turtles, Batman or Flash. After being catapulted to fame for his work for BOOM! Studios in Hexed and Klaus, in 2014 and 2015, respectively, Mora would be in charge of illustrating the special WWE: Then for this company. No. Forever in 2016, which would be followed by a regular WWE series, for which he would be in charge of the covers. As a cover artist he would participate in titles such as the intercompany crossover Planet of the Apes / Green Lantern and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, contributing a story to the series' first annual, even contributing coloring. He would also be the series regular for Saban's Go Go Power Rangers. Aside from his work on BOOM! Studios, Dan has worked for Marvel and DC, making different covers for titles such as Batgirl, Doctor Strange vol.3, Secret Empire, Titans, Teen Titans, Champions, Spirits of Venganza, Jessica Jones and Nova, among others.
