Sinopis
Mexican comic series created in 1959 by Ángel Martín de Lucenay and Ángel Mora telling the adventures of the intrepid fisherman Chanoc and his godfather Trekub Baloyán. The series was very popular in Mexico, it was published weekly and non-stop for over twenty years by Publicaciones Herrerías. Afterwards, there were a couple of attempts to re-launch the publication in the mid-nineties, first by Enigma and then by Novedades.
There were several movies adaptations, at least eight feature films between 1967 and 1983.
